aww-rats has the answer perfect. White plays e8=Black King. Black to move has only one legal move Kd8. White then plays Qd7 which mates BOTH kings.

Technetium Champions Of The U2000 Section

Technetium Rd 10. Championship round. Universe comes through one last time to lead the team to the championship. This is one of the best games of the season. It's a shame no-one nominated this for Game of the Week. I was the judge and instead had to rule on some other insipid crap.
A great achievement for Technetium. Hopefully in T51 some other "element" teams will claim a championship also.

Final Game Round 9

Technetium Rd 9. Score tied at 1.5 each. Technetium has fought back and according to the tie break rules needs another win to advance to the finals. Check out how universe is able to make this happen.

A Must Win Situation

Technetium Rd 9. The third game of the playoff round. ben622 must win and then hope we win the final game as well. And he has to play a FM. He comes through with a very nice win.

A Minor Setback

Technetium Rd 9. Boromir played the second game. A very complicated endgame. Both sides missed wins and draws. In the end our opponents got the victory to take a 1.5 to .5 lead. We now need to win both of our last games to advance.
