I know a3-a4-a5 is uncommon. Actually, I guess 4.a3 is already pretty rare, but in my opinion underrated. I believe Shirov (don't quote me on that) suggested the idea of pushing the a pawn up the board. I think it leads to interesting, unique positions! Thanks for featuring my game, Paul!
